My family is starting to look into some extra help for an older family member, and honestly I’m not really sure where to start. They’re still living at home and don’t necessarily need someone there all day, but some everyday things are getting harder. Things like getting dressed, preparing meals, keeping up with the house, and just having someone around for safety. I’ve been searching for home care Columbus providers, but there are so many different companies and types of care that it’s getting a little overwhelming. Some offer hourly care, while others have overnight, live-in, or 24-hour options. For anyone who has gone through this in Columbus, how did you decide what level of help your family member actually needed? Also, what should I be asking a caregiver or home care company before choosing one? I’m especially interested in things that you wish you had known before starting the process.
